Unveiling the Spectacular Glow Festival at GreyvilleRacecourse, Durban
As Seen in Johannesburg in 2023, Durban is set to dazzle as it hosts one of the nation’s largest Dino-Wildlife Lantern Festivals, the “Glow Festival.” This extraordinary event promises to be a mesmerizing experience, bringing to life a stunning menagerie of illuminated wildlife and captivating displays.
Date: 12th December 2023 to 7th January 2024.
Time: 10:00 am to 6:00 pm
Venue: Greyville Racecourse, 150 Avondale Rd, Greyville, Durban, 4001, South Africa.
The indoor festival will feature over 50 enchanting exhibits, comprising more than 2,000 intricate lanterns adorned with over 100,000 LED lightbulbs and fine silk materials. Attendees will be led through a 200-meter meandering trail, introducing them to the enchanting world of the Magical Wildlife Glow.
Along this enchanting journey, visitors will encounter a walk-through shark tunnel, a fairy forest, graceful crane birds, lifelike animatronic insects, dinosaur lanterns, and much more. The Glow Festival is an immersive celebration of art, light, and nature, designed to captivate audiences of all ages.
In addition to the captivating lantern displays, the festival will offer an array of family activities, interactive light sculptures, and amusement rides, making it an ideal destination for kids’ parties and family outings.
To make the most of this enchanting experience, visitors are encouraged to arrive early to enjoy amusement rides, savor festival food and market, and partake in family activities. For early birds, discounted admission tickets are available until 30th November 2023.
